Professional Statement
Directions: The Autobiography/Professional Statement will be 500 words in length, typed (APA format), and proofread for clarity, correct grammar, syntax, spelling, and punctuation. Include the following
- Information about your family of origin, and information about the events, people, etc. in your life that have influenced your decision to work with young children. Describe how you identify yourself and are or will be involved within the early childhood field. (S6a)
- How do you plan to uphold ethical standards and other professional guidelines. (S6b)
- In what ways do you plan to engage in continuous collaborative learning (S6c).
- Explain how will you integrate your knowledge and form critical and reflective perspectives on early childhood education. Construct your own professional development plan. (S6d)
- In what ways do you plan to advocate for children in early childhood education. (S6e)
