Downsizing became popular in the 1990s and it resurfaced aggressively following the global financial crisis in 2008. Historic growth strategies and talent wars increased the size of the workforce. Today, expensive human capital is being eliminated again with downsizing.

- Evaluate reasons for downsizing.
- Analyze if downsizing allows organizations to meet their goals.
- Evaluate if downsizing is legal but can it still be unethical.
- Summarize what you have learned from your research about downsizing and the overall effects.
